Build weekend rope W.41
2025-09-24 19:05The first rope route building weekend is approaching—it’s high time to add some more routes! We’re planning a proper first building weekend with construction on Friday evening, all day Saturday AND all day Sunday. No tearing down, no (maybe a little) cleaning—just route setting! We’ll ask you to focus on adding more of the grades we currently have the fewest of, so we’re looking for several 5s, and maybe one or two around 7b+–7c. Another request is to add routes to ropes that currently only have one route.
Dates, times, and schedule as follows:
Friday 10/10 Start at 17:00 – Training for new route setters at 17:00/17:15, and then we’ll continue until 20:00. If you want to build on Friday and haven’t built before, expect to continue on Saturday 🙂 We’ll tidy up properly before heading home since the “try climbing” session will be in the hangar at 10:00 the next day.
Saturday 11/10 Start at 11:00 with training until 12:00, and limited/no building until 12:00 (due to the “try climbing” session happening at the same time). During this time, we can also sort holds and flatten banana boxes. We’ll continue building until 20:00.
Sunday 12/10 Start at 10:00, training for new route setters if needed before 10:30. On the final day, we aim to finish by 18:00.
We’ll provide snacks, lunch, and/or dinner each day as usual. If you want to come by but not build, you’re welcome to help fold banana boxes, sort holds from boxes into plastic bins, and help tidy up the hold storage a bit.
The bouldering area will be open for climbing as usual during the building weekend, but the rope walls will be closed for climbing until the weekend is over.
Grand opening of the climbing gym 14/9
2025-09-08 19:23Sunday, September 14th, we’re finally inaugurating our renovated climbing gym (even though it’s been open for climbing for a while).
Starting from 5 PM onwards, there will be various activities and competitions where you can win prizes. Members without a training card get free entry for the evening, and non-members pay the regular entrance fee at the reception.
You’re warmly welcome to help us celebrate the reopening of our climbing gym
Boulder area open for climbing 4/9
2025-09-03 19:28The boulder area are now opens for climbing. Opening hours are the regular ones.
The climbing gym will open for Rope Climbing on 25/8
2025-08-14 17:12After a long wait and many question marks, it’s finally time to climb in the hangar again! On August 25th, we’re reopening for climbing on our rope walls. Starting from 3 PM onwards, you’ll be able to climb on our brand-new walls with a variety of new routes. Take the opportunity to see what’s changed in the hangar since we were last open. We’ll be operating with the same hours as before the renovation.
Opening hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 15:00–20:00 (wall supervisors on site 20:00–22:00)
- Friday: 15:00–20:00
- Saturday & Sunday: 12:00–20:00
Why only the rope climbing? Unfortunately, there’s a very long delivery time for parts of our bouldering mat, which means we simply can’t open the bouldering area for climbing yet. As soon as the mat and problems are in place, we’ll open the bouldering section as quickly as possible. When we have a confirmed delivery date we will communicate a opening date for the boulder.
Help us prepare the climbing gym before reopening
2025-07-31 13:52Summer has gone by quickly, and so has the renovation of the hangar. The supplier T-Wall has worked hard all summer, and during week 31 they are completing the final work on the walls of the hangar and handing it over to LKK.
However, the fact that the walls are finished does not mean that the hall is ready to open. LKK needs help preparing the hall for opening, and we need support from our members.
The preliminary plan is as follows:
Week 32
- Restoration work in the hall, including:
- Painting wall surfaces
- Reinstalling the fall-dampening floor
- Restoring the gym
- Weekdays: 17:00–20:00
Weeks 33 and 34
- Tentative start of route setting on the rope walls
- Weekdays: 17:00–20:00?
- Weekend: 10:00–20:00
Note: The start date for route setting may change depending on the work scheduled for week 32.

When will the climbing hall reopen?
Several factors determine when the hangar can reopen. We’re waiting on the delivery of the mat for the bouldering area. Additionally, the rest of the hall needs to be ready for opening. Unfortunately, we cannot yet announce an opening date. Once a date is set, it will be communicated via email, the website, and social media.
Climbing Gym closes for renovation 26/5
2025-05-07 10:11Monday the 26/5 the climbing gym will be closed to start the planned renovation. This means tha no climbing will be possible untill the reopening.
The gym will be reopened in August, more information will be publiced later via our homepage and other social media channels.
To make enable the renovation we need help with removing and cleaning all the climbing holds . See this post for more information
Help LKK prepare for the Renovations
2025-05-07 10:07Monday 26/5 the preparation work for the renovation will start.
From May 26th, climbing will no longer be possible in the gym. First, all the holds will be removed from the walls, followed by dismantling the bouldering walls themselves.
Since there will be a large number of holds, we have planned to spread out the demolition and cleaning over several days. We need all the help we can get to manage the workload!
